Christianity's preoccupation with the strange events that happened,
or are said to have happened, after the death of Jesus
has become a stumbling block to hearing
the actual teachings of Jesus.

The idea that a dead man came back to life some 2000 years ago
is as unbelievable for 21st century minds,
as it was 2000 years ago.
The difference is that, today,
many take this as a literal account
rather than as an analogy of a spiritual event.

Jesus spoke and taught about the coming of God's Kingdom to earth
not about how we, on earth, could go to any heavenly abode,
or become suitable material for an eternal existence.
These are later corruptions of his message.
But
Perhaps behind it all there was another story,
of plotted revolution and national pride,
hidden behind a spiritual agenda.
