THOUGHTS ABOUT DEATH

From " A Beginners Guide to Dying"

Death is but the end of the journey of life.
"Perhaps death is something to regret rather than a thing to fear"
"The imminence of death puts a lot of things into perspective."
"There is a depp sadness about not growing old (or older)."
"Take life by the genitals and squeeze joy out of it!"
"To know all is to forgive all"
Making contact with the dying!

Voltaire
When asked on his death bed whether he renounced the devil and all his works, replied:
"Now is not the time to make enemies."

Bertrand Russell
Bernard Russell's approach to llfe's passage.
and "I do so hate to leave this world."

Our fear of death exposes our need for God
Yet God's existence is not compatible with proof that God exists,
because such proof would seem to eliminate the need for God.
Is there then any purpose in our existence, in what we do?
