But why call God 'Father' except to proliferate masculine supremacy?
To mirror, and approve, the inequalities of pre-medieval society.
To overcome the challenge of female leaders in the early church.
Why call this God 'Almighty'?
For such power is not really manifest on earth,
where religions and their competing Gods multiply
and the commands of God are consistently ignored.
What does it mean to "Believe"?
In God's existence, if so in what form?
In the doctrine about God, which follows?
In God's nature, power, eternal existence?
It is a meaningless concept unless clarified.
