If we substitute Fellowship for Communion (as some suggest)
the meaning becomes clearer, even if not crystal clear.
for we do share an affinity with those we meet
from any walk of life or nation.
Perhaps it also emphasises the key role of community,
the need to meet together outside the formal service times,
or even to spend social time together
immediately after each service.
