carrying off the body as a focus for grief,
or future rumours of resurrection.

The legends surrounding the tomb are parables
of the realisation of the reality of resurrection.

The fact of resurrection lies in the actions of the women,
or maybe the recollections on the Emmaus road,
as they recalled their inspiring teacher;
realised what he would have them do,
and began to do it.
