THE AUTHENTICIY OF THE EPISTLES
Academic consideration of the Bible has derived a new insight
into the dates of writing and authorship of the Epistles,
most of which is strenuously denied by those of
with more set and fundamental views and
ignored by the bulk of the church.
The Undisputedly Authentic Pauline epistles
First Epistle to the Thessalonians
Epistle to the Galatians
Epistle to the Philippians
Epistle to Philemon
Epistle to the Romans
The Disputed Pauline epistles;
These may be authentic but many think otherwise.
Most consider that the Epistles to the Corinthians
to be authentic in part, but much edited.
First Epistle to the Corinthians
Second Epistle to the Corinthians
Others are largely rejected, or placed under suspicion,
by conflicts in the text with events or issues of the time.
Sometimes also by the style of writing, or the theology expressed.
Epistle to the Ephesians
Epistle to the Colossians
Second Epistle to the Thessalonians
The Pastoral epistles; These ar probably not authentic
First Epistle to Timothy
