Justice

Justice is commonly imagined as vengeance, or punishment or even reward for doing good. Yet vengeful justice merely exacerbates the problem, shifting the emphasis from one side to the other, alternately seeking for restitution of wrong; exacerbating the original confrontation. In God's Kingdom justice is seen instead as a levelling of the playing field, sharing of resources, so rich and poor have the same access to meet their need, so lack is met by communal provision and sharing. There is a lack of envy and greed for all have what they need. Where some may find desire outstrips provision, resulting in criminal behaviour the response is loving care to find a better way; to bring peace.
